Deen stands for Development through Empowerment and Employment of the Nation. DEEN Foundation was established in 2024 with a simple but deeply personal purpose: to create opportunities for people and communities that face economic and social barriers.

Our History

A personal journey became a community mission.
DEEN Foundation was born from a personal connection to the challenges faced by underserved communities in Bangladesh.
The Foundation's founder, Md. Irfan Khan, was born and raised in Kalapani School Camp, an underprivileged Urdu-speaking community in Bangladesh.

Growing up in the community provided him with a first-hand understanding of the barriers many families experience, particularly in education, economic opportunity and access to basic support.
Despite these challenges, education became a pathway forward.He completed his graduation while continuing to live in the community. He subsequently entered the professional workforce and later completed his MBA in Marketing.
His professional journey provided new experiences, networks and perspectives. But the connection with his community remained strong.Rather than seeing personal progress as the end of the journey, he began to see it as a responsibility to give something back.

The beginning of DEEN Foundation In 2024, DEEN Foundation was established as a grassroots initiative focused on supporting underserved communities. The initial emphasis was placed on education and livelihood empowerment, particularly supporting students who were at risk of discontinuing their education because of financial hardship.
Over time, the work expanded to include:
      Educational scholarships
      Youth development
      Women empowerment
      Livelihood support
     Water and sanitation
     Food and humanitarian assistance
     Ramadan initiatives
     Qurbani support
    Community development activities
The Foundation continues to grow through local volunteer participation, community relationships and small-scale support from individuals and partners.

Where we are today

DEEN Foundation remains a growing grassroots organization. Formal organizational registration is currently under process. We believe transparency about our current status is important. Our ambition is to build the organization responsibly, strengthen our systems, document our impact and develop partnerships that can help us expand our work.
             Our journey is still young.
             But the purpose is clear.
We want to turn opportunity into a pathway for a better future.
